Quality of Life

Quality of Life

Welcome to the Coachella Valley, where the quality of life -- from a median temperature of 72 degrees to 350 days of sunny blue skies is a natural resource.

With more than 121 golf courses in play or under construction, the Coachella Valley is known as the "golf capital of the world." Recreational activities abound, from tennis to hiking to hot air ballooning to off-road jeeping to the Living Desert Zoo and Botanical Gardens, the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway and the internationally televised Pacific Life Open Tennis Masters at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

The Desert Sun

There are cultural events to satisfy families and singles alike, from myriad art galleries and The Desert Museum to orchestras like the Coachella Valley and Indian Wells Desert symphonies to jazz, rock and pop concerts and Broadway plays at the McCallum Theatre and Las Vegas-styled gaming at the Indian tribe-operated casinos.

Housing, from condominiums to luxury estates, are in top supply with median prices substantially lower than the majority of the regions in California.

An interstate freeway, transcontinental connections and commercial and private airports connect the Coachella Valley to Southern California, Mexico and the world.
